What is CS2 coinflip?

CS2 coinflip is a 1v1 bet on a 50/50 coin toss, played with CS2 skins or their value on a site that Valve does not run. Two players put up the same stake, each takes one side of the coin, and the winner takes the pot, less any cut the site keeps. On CSGOEmpire and SkinRave the two sides are T and CT.

You play with the site’s own balance, which you fund with CS2 skins, crypto or cash. CSGOEmpire uses Empire Coins, worth about 0.61 USD each by its own FAQ. Howl.gg uses Howl Coins at 1 USD each, and SkinRave uses Tokens at about 0.50 USD each. Jackpot is the same idea for a crowd, with everyone adding to one pot, and it has its own list.

How do you play CS2 coinflip?

A flip works the same way on all 3 sites.

1. Deposit CS2 skins, crypto or cash. The site turns it into a balance.
2. Create a flip with your side and your stake, or join an open one at the stake it shows.
3. Wait for a second player, or call the site’s bot to take the other side.
4. The coin lands, and the winner takes both stakes, minus any cut for the site.
5. Check the round with the site’s fairness tool if you want to, then withdraw skins or crypto.

What does each CS2 coinflip site do differently?

On CSGOEmpire you pick T or CT, set an amount with the quick buttons, and create a game or join one at the same stake. The 1x menu next to Create game opens 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 games at once. While a game waits, you can cancel it or call a bot. In May 2023 it raised the minimum to 1 Empire Coin. Against the house bot the limit is 200,000 Empire Coins, and between two players there is no limit (CSGOEmpire help).

Howl.gg calls coinflip “the classic 50/50 game mode”. You set a bet amount and pick from the open games. If nobody takes your flip, you can call Howly, the site’s bot. After 30 minutes an open flip can also be cancelled, and your stake comes straight back. Each game shows its seed hash before the flip, and the secret and the result after it.

SkinRave has you pick CT or T and a stake, then create the game and wait for a player, or call the bot to play at once. Its 1x to 15x menu, which the guide calls a multiplier, sets how many games you open at once, up to 15, like CSGOEmpire’s. It is the only coinflip of the 3 that US players can use.

Can CS2 coinflip be rigged?

Not on a provably fair coinflip, and all 3 on this list are provably fair. The site locks in a secret before the flip and lets you check the result after it. On CSGOEmpire no result exists until a second player or the bot joins. Then it picks an EOS block that has not been mined yet. A private seed, that block’s ID and the round ID decide the flip (CSGOEmpire help). You can check any round with CSGOEmpire’s PHP script and the values on its fairness page. We did that for our own flip on 28 September 2026. The private seed matched its published hash, the public seed was the ID of EOS block 522583547, mined a few seconds after the bot joined, and the script returned “Tails (CT)”, the side the coin landed on. Its help centre says that if the script ever gave a different result, “it would be obvious that we manipulated the result”. SkinRave waits for a future EOS block the same way, once both players have joined. Howl.gg hashes its server seed and shows you the hash before the round, mixes in a client seed and a nonce, and checks any round by its game ID.

A provably fair flip only proves that nobody changed the result after you bet. You can still lose over many flips, and fairness says nothing about whether a site pays out, which is why every review covers withdrawals.

Can you coinflip CS2 skins?

Yes, through the site’s balance. In the CS:GO days you traded skins to a bot and flipped them against another player’s skins. On these 3 sites you deposit skins, flip for the balance, and take skins back out. On CSGOEmpire your skin is auctioned to other players for 3 minutes, and the balance lands once you have sent it to the top bidder. A skin you withdraw there is one you buy from another player. Howl.gg takes CS2, Rust and TF2 skins both ways. On SkinRave your skins go to an outside service, SkinsBack, SkinDeck or Cash for Skin, and the skins you withdraw come from SkinRave’s own market.

Can you withdraw coinflip winnings straight away?

On CSGOEmpire you can always take skins out, and a skin deposit carries no wager rule. Crypto is the exception: after a cash or crypto deposit, a crypto withdrawal waits until that deposit has been wagered in full. Howl.gg wants 100% of every deposit bet before you withdraw anything, and our withdrawals there then landed within 2 to 5 minutes. SkinRave wants every Token wagered once, and free Tokens can be asked to play through up to 3 times. It counts this in XP, 400 XP for every Token you hold, and on our own account 2.38 Tokens still needed 896 XP before the withdraw tab would open. After that SkinRave calls both routes, skins and crypto, instant, although its sweepstakes rules give it up to 30 days to pay.

Is there a strategy for CS2 coinflip?

No. Every flip is a new 50/50, so a run of T does not make CT due, and no pattern of bets changes the odds. The Martingale, where you double your stake after every loss, works until a long losing run empties your balance or hits a limit, such as the 200,000 Empire Coins CSGOEmpire allows against its bot. The one thing you control is the stake, so pick a budget before the first flip and stop when it is spent.
